39,810 Hays County residents are food insecure. 15.6% of children under 18 in Hays County are food insecure. (Feeding America, 2023)

Food insecurity is defined by the United States Department of Agriculture as the lack of access, at times, to enough food for an active, healthy life.

The majority of the food we distribute is rescued and donated food. We work with our wonderful partners and the community to ensure that good food doesn’t end up in landfills. We want to do our part to ensure that our community is fed while reducing waste.
